Sarnia vs Saginaw Preview (Mar. 12/19)
The Sarnia Sting are in the middle of a fight for their playoff lives as they look to take on the Saginaw Spirit tonight.
The Spirit are 44-15-2-3 this season, putting them into second place in the Western Conference. The Sarnia Sting are 26-31-5-2 this season, and are in seventh place in the Western Conference. They are only one point ahead of Windsor and three points ahead of Erie. There are two playoff spots and three teams, so that means that one team will not make the playoffs. The Sting must obtain four out of a possible eight points in their remaining four games to clinch a playoff spot. A win tonight would be huge. Erie plays Mississauga tonight, so they have a chance to bring themselves even closer in the standings.

The last time these teams met, Sarnia won 7-6 in a shootout, with Jacob Perreault scoring the winner. It was an eventful game, with Jamieson Rees receiving an eight-game suspension for a hit to the head, as well as a few other incidents occurring. Rees is not yet eligible to return, but this game should be very entertaining. The Sting are 3-2-0-0 in the season series, and the Spirit are 2-2-0-1.
