Sting Acquire Bitten From 67's
In an effort to bolster their roster for the 2019-20 OHL season, the Sarnia Sting have traded for centre Sam Bitten from the Ottawa 67's in exchange for two draft picks.
In the 2018-19 season, Bitten played in all 68 regular-season games, scoring 13 goals and adding 22 assists for a total of 35 points. His +23 rating was inflated due to playing on a very offensively talented 67's team.
In his three seasons in the OHL with Ottawa, Bitten, a native of Gloucester, has played in 150 games. He has scored 22 career goals as well as 37 assists for 59 points.

Sarnia gives up North Bay's 5th round pick in 2020 and Sudbury's 3rd round pick in 2021. The Sudbury pick was acquired in the trade for Adam Ruzicka and the North Bay pick was a part of the trade of Theo Calvas, both deals from last season.
Bitten is listed as a centre on hockeydb and eliteprospects, yet is listed on the 2018-18 Ottawa 67's roster as a left winger. However, Sarnia Sting GM Nick Sinclair does mention Bitten's versatility in an article here, so this must mean that Bitten can play multiple forward positions. This could be very beneficial for the Sting if they wish to move around the lineup or in case someone goes down with an injury, then Bitten can easily move from one position to another.
