Sting Blown Out by Greyhounds
The Sarnia Sting, in the midst of a battle for a playoff spot, came into Sault Ste. Marie and lost to the Greyhounds by a score of 6-1.

Six minutes and twenty-six seconds into the game, Cole MacKay scored his 27th goal of the season to open the scoring for the Greyhounds. Morgan Frost and Jordan Sambrook drew the assists.
Five and a half minutes later, Nolan Burke scored his second goal of the year for the Sting to tie the game up. Assisting on the goal was Mitch Eliot and Franco Sproviero.
Just over four minutes into the second period, Ryan O'Rourke scored his eighth goal of the season to make it 2-1 for the Soo. Sambrook and Alex Johnston assisted on the goal.
Ryan Roth scored his 21st goal of the year to make it 3-1 just over a minute after O'Rourke's goal. Mac Hollowell and Keeghan Howdeshell had the assists on Roth's tally.
One minute and twelve seconds into the third period, Jacob LeGuerrier scored his sixth goal of the season to give the Greyhounds a 4-1 lead. Sambrook and Joe Carroll drew the assists.
Almost at the halfway mark of the third, Howdeshell made it 5-1 with his 44th goal of the season. Jaromir Pytlik had the only assist.
With just over a minute to play, Zack Trott scored his tenth goal of the campaign. Jaden Peca and Roth assisted on the power play goal.
There was an incident around the halfway mark of the third period when Morgan Frost, the Greyhounds' top scorer, crosschecked Nick Grima in the face. Grima was bloody after the crosscheck and Frost receiver a five-minute major and a game misconduct. This could be an issue for the Greyhounds if Frost gets suspended because he is their top scorer.
Matthew Villalta won the game for the Soo, stopping 32/33 shots. Ethan Langevin played the whole game for the Sting, saving 29/35 shots in the loss.
Sarnia's next game is on Tuesday as they host the Saginaw Spirit.
