Sting Dominate Bulldogs in Win
For the final game on OHL Day, the Sarnia Sting hosted the Hamilton Bulldogs. Sarnia had lost nine out of their last ten games, and they were looking for a spark. They found one last night, when they had a big 8-4 win over the Bulldogs.

Mitch Eliot opened the scoring just over a minute and a half into the game with his 12th goal of the season, a one-timer from below the face-off dot. Sean Josling drew the lone assist.
The Sting kept up the pace for most of the first period, adding a second goal ten minutes later, with Brayden Guy scoring his 14th goal of the season, assisted by Franco Sproviero and Marko Jakovljevic
Just thirty seconds later, Curtis Egert has a pass deflect off of his foot that finds the back of the next, and it is already 3-0 for the Sting! Ryan McGregor and Hugo Leufvenius had the assists on Egert's 11th goal of the season.
Before the period could finish, Guy scored his second of the game and 15th tally of the season to make it 4-0 for Sarnia. Jakovljevic had the assist.
After the first period, the Sting were up 4-0 and had 17 shots to Hamilton's eight.
Just two minutes into the second period, McGregor forced a turnover at the Bulldogs' blue line while shorthanded, and comes in and snipes his 17th goal of the season to give the Sting a commanding 5-0 lead.
Jan Jenik scores Hamilton's first goal of the game with eleven minutes and forty-two seconds played in the second period. This was his second goal of the season, assisted by Logan Morrison and Matthew Strome on the power play.
Just twenty-seven seconds later, Morrison gets his sixth goal of the year, also on the power play, to make it 5-2 for the Sting. Kade Landry and Janik drew the assists.
After forty minutes of play, Sarnia was leading, 5-2. The Bulldogs had 26 total shots while the Sting had 28.
With just under three minutes played in the third period, McGregor scored his second of the game and 18th of the season to make it 6-2 for the Sting. Sean Josling assisted on the goal.
Arthur Kaliyev of the Bulldogs responded with his 34th goal of the season while shorthanded to make it 6-3.
A minute and a half later, Kaliyev scored his 35th goal of the season to make it 6-4. Matthew Strome and Cameron Supryka drew the assists on the power play goal.
Thirty seconds after Kaliyev's second goal, Leufvenius snipes his 27th goal of the season to make it a 7-4 game with eleven minutes to play in the third period. Sproverio and Eliot drew the assists.
Sarnia wasn't done scoring yet, with Jacob Perreault burying a rebound for his 23rd of the season, assisted by Jamieson Rees and Colton Kammerer.
With that dominating win, their 20th of the season, the Sting stay in sixth place in the Western Conference. They are two points ahead of seventh-place Kitchener and three points back of fifth-place Owen Sound.
