The Sarnia Sting took on the Kitchener Rangers in last night's OHL action, but were unable to come out on top in a very close game, and ended up losing 1-0.

There was no scoring in the first period, but Kitchener was dominating Sarnia, and had a huge advantage in shots, quadrupling up on the Sting, 16-4. Luckily, for Sarnia, Ethan Langevin played amazing, and he was the reason why things didn't get out of hand.

With only one second remaining in the second period, Greg Meireles scored his 27th goal of the season to give the Rangers the one-goal lead. Riley Damiani and Rickard Hugg assisted on the power play goal. Kitchener outshot Sarnia that period as well, 8-5.

Sarnia looked a bit better in the third period, but were unable to put any of their 14 shots into the back of the net. Kitchener came away with the win, 1-0.

Ethan Langevin started for the Sting and got first star honours, stopping 28/29 shots. Luke Richardson got the start for the Rangers and saved all 23 shots for his third shutout of the season, as well as being named the second star of the game.

Sarnia's next game is on Thursday night in Windsor.
