Aidan Hughes Traded to Oshawa
The Sarnia Sting have traded goaltender Aidan Hughes to the Oshawa Generals in exchange for a 2021 9th round pick.

Hughes Hughes, the 19 year-old London native, was drafted by Sarnia in the 2015 OHL Priority Selection and has played in 61 games in his OHL career, all with the Sting, and has a record of 25-19-4.
This season, he has played in 16 games with a 6-4-2 record, as well as a 4.28 goals against average and .868 save percentage. He has not yet been drafted into the NHL.
There is a possibility that Sarnia will try to acquire a goalie to replace Hughes and backup Ethan Langevin, who is having a good year. Sarnia's current backup, Blair Coffin, may not yet be ready for an OHL backup job, so it would be safer to pick up a goalie who could be a good backup. This goalie would also have to be a good starter in the event that Langevin would start to struggle or go down with an injury.
